OUR 29TH YEAR OF MINISTRY

The Father Planned for Jesus

When we study about the prophecies or life of Jesus, what is amazing to discover, is to what extent that God planned for Jesus’ earthly life and ministry.  The primary reason for His being born was to save the world from their sins.  The price was so high and the cost so great, for Jesus and God the Father (Yahweh), that He warned that anyone ignoring the cost, would do so at great peril of their eternal soul.

Psalms 2:7-12

“I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.

Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.

You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.'”

Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth.

Worship Yahweh (the LORD) with reverence and rejoice with trembling.

Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!”

Most of the Psalms were written by David and Solomon, one was written by Moses and other writers.  They were compiled about 1,000 years before Jesus’ birth.  Yet, the writers, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, accurately told of the coming Messiah, His relationship to the Father, and that the Father was planning His earthly arrival.  God the Father also gave the Jews and the Gentiles a warning: “Do homage to the Son….”  That warning speaks to the world today!

The cost to the Father and to the Son, to redeem both mankind and the world was so extraordinary in scope, and so superior in effect, that to then ignore Jesus as Messiah, is unpardonable.

I recommend that you read all of Psalm 2 with this in mind.

I pray that I never underestimate in my worship of the Father and the Son, the price that was paid by my eternal Father, which is the redemption of my eternal soul.
