“Why are the nations in an uproar and the peoples devising a vain thing? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh (the LORD) and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!” He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them. Then He will speak to them in His anger and terrify them in His fury…” Psalm 2:1-4
All Scripture is inspired and is intended to give us comfort in the face of the times that we live in. In the above text, Yahweh God laughs at the gathering of world leaders, vainly attempting to eliminate the Father and His Son, from all vestiges of politics and life. These world leaders are attempting to change facts into fiction, and fiction into facts. But, we as the Body of Christ, we have peace. Jesus said, “Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”
What a surprise it must have been to the shepherds, to hear the following statement from the large group of heavenly angels, in Luke 2:14, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.” Peace on earth? When will that finally come about? Since Cain and Abel 6,000 years ago, there has not been peace on earth. But every saint’s soul desires peace, desires comfort, desires to live in utter tranquility. Notice how Psalm 2 continues,
“Then He will speak to them in His anger and terrify them in His fury, saying, “But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain. I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as Your possession. ‘You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.'” Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth. Worship Yahweh (the LORD) with reverence and rejoice with trembling.”
This Psalm is prophetically speaking of the end of the seven-year tribulation and the entrance of the thousand-year Millennial reign of Jesus the Messiah. God the Father declares to His Son to ask for the nations, to possess them, to rule them. Oppressive leaders and nations have falsely believed that their rule and reign would last for hundreds and thousands of years. But, the reign of Jesus will continue forever! The vanity of mortal men will be destroyed, and those who are complicit with them will be destroyed along side of them. Now, more than any other time in history, you and I must put our trust wholly in God. “…put your trust in the Lord your God and you will be established. Put your trust in His prophets and succeed.” If you want 20-20 spiritual vision, remember and practice this verse in 2 Chronicles 20:20.
The Spirit of God spoke to me in a dream this exact same time last year, and said several things to tell the people.
First, that false Christs are beginning to appear, “for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect. But take heed; behold, I have told you everything in advance.” Mark 13:22-23. Churches and religious leaders are preaching another Christ, a Christ that does not resemble the Jesus of the Bible.
Second, that a sharp rise of men’s enemies will be within their own families. Jesus Himself quoted this from Micah 7:6, “For son treats father contemptuously, daughter rises up against her mother, daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own household.”. No longer do children honor their parents, and a great disrespect is taught to this younger generation. Children against parents, party against party, false teachers against faithful teachers. A great distortion is being propagated to our young generation.
Third, that there will be mass conversions of beliefs and morals. In 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12, the apostle Paul wrote, “For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.” God is faithful and just, and He must allow a parting of the sheep and the goats to occur. The shocking change in morality, and the crazy proclamations about humanity, is changing the beliefs that what God created in the Garden is too limiting! Now, many normally intelligent people, are adopting this unscientific world view.
Fourth, that Satan’s end-time plan is beginning to be realized. In Psalm 146:3-4 we read, “Do not trust in princes, in mortal man, in whom there is no salvation. His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.” We are not to put our trust in political leaders, who are here today, and changed tomorrow.
Scripture is our hope and comfort in times like these. Here are some happy promises concerning Jesus and His coming one-world order!
“He will cut off the spirit of princes; He is feared by the kings of the earth.” Psalms 76:12
“I also shall make Him My firstborn, The highest of the kings of the earth. My lovingkindness I will keep for Him forever, and My covenant shall be confirmed to Him. So I will establish His descendants forever and His throne as the days of heaven.” Psalms 89:27-29
“…and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood — and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father — to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:5-6
“I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed; and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.” Revelation 21:22-26
Jesus said in John 14:27,
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”
Shout, there is no fear here! Glory Hallelu-Yah!
Shalom,
Pastor David Gonzalez
