“You are Valuable to God”

January 2023 Newsletter

“But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’ So is the man who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
“And He said to His disciples, “For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your  life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.”
 Luke 12:20-23

Have you considered how valuable you are?  Have you considered that with God, there are no births that are an accident, not one birth that is of no value?  “For this reason…”, Jesus says, that we are not to operate according to the world system and its habits, we are in the world but not of the world.  We must become what He destined us for. Amen? Amen.

Satan knows how valuable you are too.  Jesus said in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”  The reason why you do not yet have the tranquility and the peace, that we so much desire to have, is because of the work of the devil.

God fashioned everything in the first six days from nothing, from spiritual to material.  Repeatedly, we read, “Vi’yo’mere Elohim”, literally, “Said God”.  He spoke everything into existence by faith, from nothing that we can see. The galaxies and space, the earth, sun moon and stars, even the plants, animals and other earthly creatures.  But in contrast, God made man, not from the unseen, but from the seen.  In Genesis 2:7, “God formed Adam from Adamah” (i.e., earth, dirt).  He formed Adam from the dust of the ground.  God fashioned man in His own image and likeness, a perfect material likeness of Himself, made in three persons just as He is in three persons.  He is, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we are spirit, soul and body.

Your enemy cannot bring harm to God’s Person, but he can attack God’s image and likeness.  Satan wants to harm you, to destroy God’s likeness in you and on you.  Satan wants to dethrone you from being in charge of your life and your body, in any way that he can.  If he can get you to sin, to give up on life, to operate outside of your God-made design, then he hopes to bring harm to God and God’s kingdom.  You are the most perfect thing God has ever made.  The angels are not made in His image.  Psalm 8:4-6 says,

“What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, And You crown him with glory and majesty! You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet.”

The devil hopes to take away your crown, and take you down from that high throne that God has placed you on.  He wickedly desires to destroy your life, your witness, your hope, and ultimately, your eternal soul.  If you could see your value to God, you’d stop all the foolishness in your life.  If you could see the importance you have to Him and His earthly kingdom, then you would gladly follow God’s instructions for your life here on earth.  If you could fathom your fellow man’s importance to God, then you would forgive others readily by choice.  You are more precious than any diamond.  In James 4:8-10 it reads,

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.”

God wants you doubly blessed in 2023. He wants you to get back your stolen property.  He wants you to remove carnality from your life.  He wants the church to purify herself.  He wants you to start fresh again in serving Him.  Jesus said, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

So, here are five things that the Spirit of God I believe has placed on my heart for you.  He wants to put you in a place to receive all that He desires to restore to you this year.

  1. Be doubly thankful. “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.” Colossians 3:15.  Not just a little more thankful, but twice as much as ever before.  Be thankful for your eyesight, your family, your church and your God.  Worship Him and rejoice daily in Him, always.
  2. Be twice as giving.  Jesus said in Matthew 5:41-42, “Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.”  Jesus did not say, go a little further, but twice the distance requested.  You be doubly giving of your time to others, doubly in your service to God, and double in your giving to His kingdom.  Double!
  3. Be twice as forgiving.  In Mark 11:25 Jesus says, “Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions.”  Let those old debts go.  Some things you haven’t forgiven are against people that are already dead.  Let it go, and tear up that IOU you’ve been holding against them.  It’s only slowing you down.  You’re better than that.
  4. You should be doubly tender to the remembrance of your old sinful nature and be doubly merciful to others.  Paul reminds us in his letter to the Colossians 3:12-13, “So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.”  When you stop seeing yourself in the proper light, you’ll begin to have contempt for everyone else around you.  In your pride, you’ll forget who you used to be, and you’ll focus on the faults of others, instead of yourself.  Humble yourself before God has to humble you, and be merciful to others.
  5. You should doubly occupy.  Jesus said in Luke 19:12-13, “A nobleman went to a distant country to receive a kingdom for himself, and then return. And he called ten of his slaves, and gave them ten minas and said to them, ‘Do business with this until I come back.”.  What you got is what you got, now get to the getting.  Stop making any more excuses not to move ahead in the things God has placed you to do here on this earth.  If you knew your value to God and His kingdom, you’d stop messing around with the small things, but rather go after what God has already given you faith for.  Make 2023 your year of big things for God and His glorious kingdom!

“This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.”  Help me to win souls and grow up the saints this year.  Become a faithful financial partner with me in the calling on me and this ministry!  Partner with me this year weekly or monthly.  Call us or go to our website for details.
